Remember the long, cold winter?
It had its moments, offering a true interpretation of freshness, on waking after a night of heavy snowfall.
Is there anything more beautiful than fresh snow?
Perhaps only the first rose of springtime, soft golden petals, blushing lightly at the edges, gently unfurling amongst glossy dark leaves.
And the promise of further beauty still in progress.

About Sandra
I used to cruise the French waterways with my husband four or five months a year, and wrote fiction and poetry. Now I live on the beautiful Dorset coast, enjoying the luxury of being able to have a cat, cultivating an extensive garden and getting involved in the community. I still write fiction, but only when the spirit moves me - which isn't as often as before. I love animals, F1 motor racing, French bread and my husband, though not necessarily in that order.

That snow looks quite refreshing about now, although it would quickly be ice water…which would be good, too. Have a wonderful weekend.

LOL – how recently were we seeing complaints about the winter never ending! Now that its beastly hot we’re waxing nostalgic for the snow. Are we EVER happy with today’s weather?!?!?!
