Weekly Photo Challenge: Good Morning!

In the morning a man walks with his whole body; in the evening, only with his legs.

Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Wherever I am, there’s no better way of starting the day than with an early morning walk.  Recently I’ve tried to remember to take my camera with me – there’s so much to see when the world is only half-awake, whether it’s a dog greeting the day, fishermen shivering in the chilly river mists or the simple beauty of nature at her seasonal best.

About Sandra

I used to cruise the French waterways with my husband four or five months a year, and wrote fiction and poetry. Now I live on the beautiful Dorset coast, enjoying the luxury of being able to have a cat, cultivating an extensive garden and getting involved in the community. I still write fiction, but only when the spirit moves me - which isn't as often as before. I love animals, F1 motor racing, French bread and my husband, though not necessarily in that order.

Love your photos here, Sandra. I also love to have my camera with me on my walks. I’ve gotten great spur of the moment kinds that way, and are often my favorite kind. Especially ones my husband and I both took with our digital still cameras and our camcorder before and after the big flood our region just went through.

It will take months to years to rebuild where there was so much damage and destruction, but people here are resilient and have gone through much before (with the wildfires and destruction caused from that) so though some things may never look the same (like our highways and terrain up through Rocky Mountain Park and the Rockies along the front range, it is the memories we have, and our photos and videos of those places when they looked so pristine before it all happened.

  5. I love the one with the fog and the one with the dog. Now I’m a poet and didn’t know it. 🙂

    Enjoy the weekend!
