Ese’s Weekly Shoot & Quote Challenge: Awakening

There is only one time when it is essential to awaken.

That time is now.

Ese’s Weekly Shoot & Quote Challenge is ‘Awakening’.   And my second favourite photographic subject is almond-blossom.  🙂  Have a nice week everyone.

About Sandra

I used to cruise the French waterways with my husband four or five months a year, and wrote fiction and poetry. Now I live on the beautiful Dorset coast, enjoying the luxury of being able to have a cat, cultivating an extensive garden and getting involved in the community. I still write fiction, but only when the spirit moves me - which isn't as often as before. I love animals, F1 motor racing, French bread and my husband, though not necessarily in that order.

WOT a tough old moggy is that B&W, eh, Sandra ? – he looks as though he’d beat up on anyone – once he wakes up. 🙂

He/she is very old, deaf and can barely miaow, Margaret. I photographed him/her almost daily on our morning walks whilst we were in Spain over the winter, and will be dedicating a whole post to this moggy on my Fur Feathers and Flora blog sometime this week. The cat is semi-feral but is fed by the restaurant clientele and more regularly by a young woman who lives nearby. I hope to meet up again next winter but… 😦

  2. I’ve never seen an almond blossom or an almond tree, either, for that matter. It’s beautiful!

  3. I like the one of the cat on the wall. It’s a glorious morning here, Sandra, and I hope it is there, too. It’s going to get chilly again tomorrow, but I’ll enjoy today while it’s here.

Great quote! And though I’m not really a cat person, I love the shot where he/ she is stretching!

Oh my gosh, I didn’t even see the kitty on the fishing net until I made it larger. That shot is beautiful! The pink blossoms are so delicious.
