Sunday Stills: One Subject

I can’t help it – I’m just stuck on photographing cats.  There’s something about their cool insouciance that hooks me every time.  So, with no apologies to the Sunday Stills fraternity:

About Sandra

I cruise the French waterways with my husband four or five months a year, and write fiction and poetry. I love animals, F1 motor racing, French bread and my husband, though not necessarily in that order.

    Dear Sandra,

Thanks for your nice cat photographs. Like you I an attracted to these animals. This afternoon I walked through a busy shopping street, where a cat was sitting in the middle of the crowd, loudly asking: “Why is everybody neglecting me?” I could not. I got on my knees and we communicated for minutes. It was difficult to say goodbye afterwards.

Are you still navigating? We do not make long trips anymore, but are still making short trips, as our beautiful Valkvlet is still not sold

Hi Dick and Marijke! As we speak we are on the Canal du Nivernais, our very first night there having taken 12 days to get there from Pont de Vaux. Sorry your boat hasn’t sold yet, but I’m sure something good will happen soon.
Yes, I love cats, so aloof, so independent, so fussy. I wish our life style was such that we could have animals once again but for the moment I rely on photographing other people’s pets and envying them with every bone of my body. Take care, have a good summer.

I'd love to hear your views; it reassures me I'm not talking to myself.
