Motion: Weekly Photo Challenge

A difficult one for me; both of the cameras I use seem to be exasperatingly slow when I’m trying to take motion photographs.   So just three from me this week:

DSCN1535

This is the famous sculpture by Chong Fah Cheong outside the Fullerton Hotel in Singapore, entitled The First Generation.  Bit of a cheat really  😉

DSCF2360Not a good picture.  I once described squirrel photography as ‘trying to nail jelly to a wall’ and the jelly in this pic was well and truly out of nail-shot.  Lovely silky coat though.

DSCN1315A different kind of motion, the spark-trail  from a magnificent display of Bastille Day fireworks.

About Sandra

I used to cruise the French waterways with my husband four or five months a year, and wrote fiction and poetry. Now I live on the beautiful Dorset coast, enjoying the luxury of being able to have a cat, cultivating an extensive garden and getting involved in the community. I still write fiction, but only when the spirit moves me - which isn't as often as before. I love animals, F1 motor racing, French bread and my husband, though not necessarily in that order.

  1. Oh, Sandra, thanks for the fireworks. I absolutely love fireworks, so this photo makes me happy. I like your “cheat” on the first one, too. Been there, done that. 🙂

  5. Though you said it was “a bit of a cheat,” I liked the first one for giving inanimate objects the look of motion which the sculptor intended. Very creative!
