Close Up – Weekly Photo Challenge

Close up:  it’s not always about flowers:

I’m fascinated by tree bark.  The one on the left is almost like looking down into a canyon.  Can you see what looks like a hand in the one on the bottom right?

Leaves also make good close up material:

It’s not easy getting close enough to a yucca plant to capture the new bud in the centre.  And can you spot the tiny drop of water nestling in the middle of the veined nasturtium leaf?

But who can resist  flower close ups anyway.  These are some of my favourites.  To see other close-up photography, visit Weekly Photo Challenge.

About Sandra

I used to cruise the French waterways with my husband four or five months a year, and wrote fiction and poetry. Now I live on the beautiful Dorset coast, enjoying the luxury of being able to have a cat, cultivating an extensive garden and getting involved in the community. I still write fiction, but only when the spirit moves me - which isn't as often as before. I love animals, F1 motor racing, French bread and my husband, though not necessarily in that order.
