Gallician Dawn

DSCN2853

This photo, taken from our boat at dawn on the Canal du Rhône à Sète, near to the village of Gallician, has been included in the 2016 European Waterways Calendar for the month of September.  Coincidentally, the photo was taken in September 2011, just as we were about to start our journey north up the Rhône, after spending three happy years on the Canal du Midi.

Heading south-west to north-east, the canal always offers great opportunities for sunrise/sunset shots.

About Sandra

I cruise the French waterways with my husband four or five months a year, and write fiction and poetry. I love animals, F1 motor racing, French bread and my husband, though not necessarily in that order.

I'd love to hear your views; it reassures me I'm not talking to myself.
