Half-Light – Weekly Photo Challenge

DSCF5043There is only one day left, always starting over: it is given to us at dawn and taken away from us at dusk. (Jean Paul Sartre)

DSCN2308“It was deep afternoon when shadows begin to grow, light becomes gold, and you realize that this particular day has reached its destiny. Like old age, it’s not yet over, but there’s no denying the time of day.”
Vicki Covington, Bird of Paradise

Rabindranath Tagore, Stray Birds

This week we were  invited to share a photograph inspired by a favourite poem, verse, story or song lyric.   To see other reflections on the theme, visit Weekly Photo Challenge.

About Sandra

I used to cruise the French waterways with my husband four or five months a year, and wrote fiction and poetry. Now I live on the beautiful Dorset coast, enjoying the luxury of being able to have a cat, cultivating an extensive garden and getting involved in the community. I still write fiction, but only when the spirit moves me - which isn't as often as before. I love animals, F1 motor racing, French bread and my husband, though not necessarily in that order.
