Animals are by nature watchful – without the brain capacity to reason or deduce, they use sight, sound and smell to anticipate …
potential danger…
the chance of a game…
food…
an unsuspecting human for claw practice…

About Sandra
I used to cruise the French waterways with my husband four or five months a year, and wrote fiction and poetry. Now I live on the beautiful Dorset coast, enjoying the luxury of being able to have a cat, cultivating an extensive garden and getting involved in the community. I still write fiction, but only when the spirit moves me - which isn't as often as before. I love animals, F1 motor racing, French bread and my husband, though not necessarily in that order.
Love the pic of the deer, standing stock still, framed by the tree branches. 🙂

The shot of that squirrel really made me laugh, Sandra. Excellent take on the prompt and lovely shots.

One of the few up-sides of having squirrels constantly pilfering from the bird-table is the opportunity to get the odd interesting photo opportunity! 🙂 Thanks, Janet.
