Shadow – Weekly Photo Challenge

dscf4557If you’re a ‘wee sleekit cow’rin tim’rous beastie’, then the least you can do is to walk tall and ‘cast a long shadow’.   This poor mite was also blind, and was running repeatedly into the kerb on a hotel car park.

dscn1941This is the back of a basking seal at the Waterfront in Cape Town, striped with shadows from the railings above.

And a mosaic of some of my favourite shadows.

I was caught out this week when the Weekly Photo Challenge changed from Friday to Wednesday, but I got the heads-up from a former Friday Fictioneer.  Thanks, Janet.  To see other ‘shadows’ click on the link above.

About Sandra

I used to cruise the French waterways with my husband four or five months a year, and wrote fiction and poetry. Now I live on the beautiful Dorset coast, enjoying the luxury of being able to have a cat, cultivating an extensive garden and getting involved in the community. I still write fiction, but only when the spirit moves me - which isn't as often as before. I love animals, F1 motor racing, French bread and my husband, though not necessarily in that order.

I'd love to hear your views; it reassures me I'm not talking to myself.
