This week we visited a replica of the World War 1 trenches at Bodelwyddan Castle in North Wales. Very convincing! And probably a great deal less dangerous in construction than the originals, given today’s Health and Safety culture.
Nature offers dangers of her own, though.

About Sandra
I used to cruise the French waterways with my husband four or five months a year, and wrote fiction and poetry. Now I live on the beautiful Dorset coast, enjoying the luxury of being able to have a cat, cultivating an extensive garden and getting involved in the community. I still write fiction, but only when the spirit moves me - which isn't as often as before. I love animals, F1 motor racing, French bread and my husband, though not necessarily in that order.
Nice collection. The high tides are dangerous still look beautiful.

Nice shots Sandra, we went to the tank museum this week, the first time I gad been there for 37 years and I was amazed how much it had changed. They also have a very good WW1 trench exhibit and just a few miles up the road from you!

We’ll have to give that a try. I keep seeing the signs for it and thinking we ought to try to get there.

Yes, you have to look lively when you’re trying to catch the big waves.

Thank you for your kind comments on the WW1 trenches at Bodelwyddan. I’m one of the two Project managers responsible for the historical interpretation and very much value your feedback. Would you be at all able to contact me directly to give me specific feedback? We are opening the trenches officially on 27/5 and as a small charity appreciate the chance to get feedback from our customers, so that we can provide the best experience possible for our visitors. Thank you again x
