Recently we’ve moved to a house which boasts an old greenhouse that has seen better days, but is still usable. As a result of moving, we’ve spent a lot more time at home than has been the case in recent years, and this, together with the greenhouse, has offered an opportunity to indulge in a long-forgotten hobby – growing plants, flowers and vegetables from seed. This is a collage of the more photogenic of our achievements. The onions, garlic, parnsips, potatoes, beans and brussels sprouts were also successful, but didn’t make the photographic cut this time. 🙂

Lovely, Sandra. I almost went with produce from the farmer’s market today, but went elsewhere. I see you’re adapting to the Wednesday posting now. 🙂 Have a great week.

Lovely. Is it ginger root or carrot. Beautiful collage.

It’s a carrot, Indira. It’s deformed in this way because I started the seeds off in fibre pots, which are supposed to dissolve away when you transplant them into the soil. They don’t though, hence these twisted but really tasty carrots. 🙂
