They’ve come a long way, cameras today.
Thirty years ago, the images were grainy, occasionally blurred, even though I took serious risks to get close, dodging behind bushes, scaling towering boundary walls.
These days, even on the darkest nights, I can indulge myself from a clearing on the hillside, way off the beaten track.
I’ve an entire bedroom filled with your image. I could show you a complete record of your life, from ungainly childhood to resplendent womanhood. You’d be amazed, enthralled… captivated probably.
But if I did, I’d have to kill you.
Just as I did with your mother.
I love an early start to my day! Thanks to Rochelle for her hard work herding the Friday Fictioneer cats every week. I only have one to herd and I know how hard that can be.
You have a wicked mind, Sandra. That was deliciously chilling

Ooh, Sandra. This was so chilling. You never know who could be out there watching you or someone you love. It makes this mama bear want to grab her cubs and hide them in a cupboard.

Yes, this was not the week for me to replace my heavy lined curtains with semi-sheer drapes, no matter how full I made them. 😦

eeks – creepy ending –
and sandra, very cool the way the short piece changed three times.
First – we feel the splendid technology – then – second – we think we are with a parent (perhaps) who has documented their child’s life – and then third, bam! the creepy twist.
very well done

Dear Sandra,
Well that was certainly a creepy start to my day. No doubt this guy has a zoom lens and does some magnificent close ups. I’m not ready for mine, Mr. DeMille. 😉 Well constructed story (although a little negative 😉 ) A brilliant snapshot of a psycho.
Shalom,

Oh, goose bump story. Is it her father? Her mother’s frustrated lover? Doesn’t matter, what he’s doing is evil and I hope he falls head first off one of those high walls!

He’s evil OK, though I haven’t made my mind up what his relationship is. 🙂

I woke up with murder on my mind. I blame it on CE Ayr – he’s not been pulling his weight just recently, so I thought I’d better take one for the team.

Your story hints that the stalker is considering telling his victim. Run, woman, run!

I didn’t take it the wrong way at all, Curt. I was quite pleased, in fact, as I thought it to be fairly heavily foreshadowed. 🙂
