this possibly being the culprit
and Sophie, as ever, slept on in her favourite spot.

Thanks Dale. I was worried about the fish one, but it looked healthy enough. I decided a seagull had probably snatched and dropped, as I didn’t see any other dead ones. Always a worry though.

The picture makes the fish look huge! When you indicated it was probably the seagull’s fault, I re-looked at the fish… told myself I guess it’s not a shark 😉
But yes, you are probably right…

Thanks, Oneta. I’d guess it was about abut 12 to 14 inches, quite large for our coast. We were watching cormorants in the bay the other day, and they were emerging with fish about 4 to 6 inches, so I thought it was probably one of the bigger species. These days, with our seas as polluted as we hear they are, you can never be sure though. Thanks for visiting.
