Sunday Stills: B is for … Bastille Day

Today is Bastille Day here in France.  We missed last night’s firework display, (well we heard rather than saw it… too tired to crawl out of bed) but these photos were taken on the eve of Bastille Day celebrations five years ago, in the little town of Buzet, on the Garonne.  How time flies!  For other interpretations of ‘the letter B is for …’ click on Sunday Stills.

About Sandra

I used to cruise the French waterways with my husband four or five months a year, and wrote fiction and poetry. Now I live on the beautiful Dorset coast, enjoying the luxury of being able to have a cat, cultivating an extensive garden and getting involved in the community. I still write fiction, but only when the spirit moves me - which isn't as often as before. I love animals, F1 motor racing, French bread and my husband, though not necessarily in that order.

Gorgeous, Sandra! Moments like those always take my breath away… Although I have seen the “kitchen side” of making fireworks happen, I still believe there’s something magical to it 🙂
