ROY G.BIV – Weekly Photo Challenge

If I weren’t slightly colour-blind I might have attempted seven different photos representing the seven different shades of the rainbow for the Weekly Photo Challenge: ROY G.BIV.  But then we’d spend all night arguing about whether my version of indigo was really purple, or violet was really blue, so I’ve opted for the easy way out.  Seven rainbows – simples!  Some from Spain, some from France and one from the Canary Islands.  To see other interpretations, click on the link.

About Sandra

I used to cruise the French waterways with my husband four or five months a year, and wrote fiction and poetry. Now I live on the beautiful Dorset coast, enjoying the luxury of being able to have a cat, cultivating an extensive garden and getting involved in the community. I still write fiction, but only when the spirit moves me - which isn't as often as before. I love animals, F1 motor racing, French bread and my husband, though not necessarily in that order.

    I’ll lend you some Janet. (For a small fee 🙂 ) Actually I’m really disappointed in the bottom right one, which is one that I lost in the recent computer crash. I’ve retrieved a lot from the WordPress gallery (from which I’ve posted a lot of them) but the quality isn’t good once you’ve done that. I’ll just have to make sure I keep an eye out for more dramatic rainbows. 😦

    I worried about the whole color thing too. Was my blue varied enough from the indigo. Does the yellow look too much like the orange. Yikes! So much pressure for one little photo challenge. I like your solution. Great photos!

    I agree with others that having 7 rainbow photos is quite the accomplishment! I couldn’t think of any rainbow photos that I had taken so opted for the 7 different photos. and I agree that indigo and violet are really close! I had a bit of trouble with that part.
