It’s a hard life trying to make a home for yourself somewhere when a new cat arrives in town. The frayed ears say it all, I think. But this little chap lived to fight many more days throughout the summer, thanks to his uncanny ability to ‘play dead’ until Sophie cat became bored and set off to stalk other prey. My favourite photo of this year.

About Sandra
I used to cruise the French waterways with my husband four or five months a year, and wrote fiction and poetry. Now I live on the beautiful Dorset coast, enjoying the luxury of being able to have a cat, cultivating an extensive garden and getting involved in the community. I still write fiction, but only when the spirit moves me - which isn't as often as before. I love animals, F1 motor racing, French bread and my husband, though not necessarily in that order.
I’m glad I forgot about the challenge today because I would still be trying to pick my favorite photo. 🙂 I’ve been working on Wednesdays, so I’ve fallen out of the habit of participating. But I do love this shot.

It’s funny, but if I can’t participate right away on Wednesday, I can’t get into it as much. Thursday I do Thursday Doors, then Friday Flowers, and by Saturday it seems much too late. 🙂
